A perfume industry titan re-imagined for evening wear, ELYSIUM NOIR takes the iconic Elysium accord and gives it a shadowy sensuality with increased notes of Soft Leather.

Perfumer's Insight

ELYSIUM NOIR is the new daring interpretation of a fragrance that has left its mark on the world of luxury perfumery. Keeping the same markers as the original, this new version explores striking bright-dark contrast in a deeper and more textured way.

ELYSIUM NOIR has been built around woods, spices and leather, pushed boldly to their paroxysm. Starting from top with an overdose of Juniper Berries, Cardamom and Pink Pepper providing an intense vibration that resonates the middle with an addictive cloud of Blackberry and until the dark, Woody, Leathery structure.

For this new creation, I wanted to focus on the impact of each key elements of Elysium DNA. A lot of brightness and vibration on top - thanks to the union of a very high amount of bitter spices blended with sparkling Citruses.

The addictiveness in the heart - I worked on a very addictive Blackberry accord, built around Fruits and Flowers providing an elegant link. The signature - a base releasing a dark sillage where Leather, Woods and Frankincense free their depth and nobility.

What is very interesting in this creation is the structure of the perfume. It's something very blooming and diffusive but also with a very elegant, textured signature playing on the contrast between light and darkness.

    Generic, artless and substandard for the ROJA brand.

    This fragrance has a generic aroma that you'd find in most cheap aftershaves or grooming products.

    It may have slightly better ingredients but the profile is still cheap, cheap, cheap.

    Very disappointed and wishing I could return it.

    The smell is very bold and bright, in some cases it can even surpass its older brother in concentration - "Elysium Pour Homme".
